0.9.8 crash
#1
Hi guys, first of all thanks for all the effort put into this emulator, it's amazing.

Anyways, since updating to 0.9.8 from 0.9.7 3878, the emu has been crashing for no apparent reason after a while of gameplay, could be in between 3-30 minutes, on every game i tried. Speedhacks are off, all settings at default. GSdx11, 3x native, crashes in native too.

Used to run without a problem on 0.9.7.
Games tested include DBZ Budokai 3 and BT 3, Sly 1, FFX, FFXII, MVC2, Jak 1, Rogue Galaxy and Okami. All plays well for a while before crashing.

Computer specs:-
AMD Phenom II x4 b50 @ 3.6
Win 7
3GB RAM
1GB 5850

Any help would be appreciated, really clueless on this problem >.<

PCSX2 settings? Plugin settings? Content of emulog.txt after a crash?

Thanks for the quick reply,

Attached are the plugins used, PCSX2 settings are left at default. Speedhacks for this particular game when it crashed (DBZ Budokai 3) were on, but the emu crashes even when speedhacks are off.

I don't see any mention of a Phenom B50 on any of the lists I've seen... I assume you mean the B50 line then... but then again that doesn't make sense either as the b50 line is a series of DUAL core processors aimed at businesses...

Anyways, if I had to take a guess your CPU is overclocked? First thing I'd try is disabling or lowering your overclock and see if you're still experiencing a crash.

(edit) Ah never mind, I found it... wasn't on a list because a b50 doesn't exist, what you have is a dual core 550 that you unlocked to a 4 core and THEN overclocked. In which case, I'd also try disabling those extra cores and seeing if you still get a crash.

I've already lowered the overclock in those attachments, just crashed when in stock clocks. The emu stopped working even when i reverted back to 2 cores just now.
Updating windows now, hopefully something good will come out of it XD

What a coincidence, i came to take a question about this same issue. In version 0.9.7 i was playing normal, now when i play Okami, just moments after the emulator crash.

Computer settings are in the signature, and the emulator settings are almost the same as the friend above. Only that VU cycle theft is one.

Thanks, and congratulations on the new version.
