1.4.0 Linux: how to boot off DVD (missing plugin?) only have 'CDVDnull'

Hi

Just downloaded the latest Linux release - 1.4.0

I cannot see a way to load a DVD ?

The only CDVD Plugin I have is

CDVDnull Driver 0 0.6.0 [libCDVDnull]

What do I find plugins to load directly off a DVD?

Also what techniques apps can I convert an existing DVD -> iso ?

You need to dump the file as an iso. You can use k3b. (or you can get an older 1.x CDVD plugin).
