The network adapter startup disc is really convenient. It has game demos on it and they can be chosen from the main menu. So you just replace one of those demo elfs, and all you have to do is select it from the menu. Easy as pie.

I softmodded my original xbox too, by doing the hard drive hot swap method. You boot the xbox to the dashboard and start an mp3 playing. This unlocks the hard drive. Then without cutting the power, you swap the hard drive data cable to the PC. Then you boot a live cd which install the mod on the xbox hard drive.

I also softmodded my Wii.

Softmodding your xbox sounds like a pain in the a$$. What did you use for softmodding your Wii because I used Letterbomb on mine.

Softmodding a Wii seems way easier than any other console. I installed the Homebrew Channel reaaally early on when the Twilight Hack was released.
