Ok, cheers Rama. I'll have a look around, seems like a lot of effort just to get my saves. I think I may just get a network adapter and save me all the effort.

If you can dump your bios,that also means that you can backup your saves

Yes, I understand that, but can't you get the BIOS, like the save files from the network only, with nothing else?

No and you can't get the bios nor the saves with only network adapter and nothing else.
The network way to dump the bios/get the saves also requires a way to run homebrew programs,and by using this guide to dump it over lan requires original PS1 game.

The link I posted in post 6 have multiple ways to install FMCB/run homebrew
If you find some way to start uLaunchELF,everything else is simple

Ok, I know a couple of communities on the internet, I'm sure someone will be able to send me their memory card with the correct software on.

Definitely go this way, yea. Having homebrew on the console gives you access to a lot of useful tools and options.
Save file sharing and running games from network are 2 examples Smile
