I'm a huge Rayman 2 fan, so this is greatly appreciated and exciting. For what it's worth, I completed two of the levels so far and did a little exploring in the hub. So far this code hasn't broken anything at all (animations, physics, sound, game speed etc all seem correct). Not jumping to conclusions, but i'm rather surprised that I haven't found any problems yet. There are a few brief occasions where the framerate will drop back down to 30fps momentarily, but it almost immediately jumps back up to 60fps again. My PC is plenty powerful enough, so I don't think it's my hardware. Not a serious issue anyway as it's so brief.
I know a lot of people love the Dreamcast version, and I won't argue that the buttery smooth framerate put it above the stock PS2 version. But I have still always admired the PS2 version's visual and level design alterations, I also like the explorable hub world (being a fan of collectathon 3D platformers like Mario 64, Sunshine, Banjo, etc). The English voices are also enjoyable, but they also included the original "Rayman-ian" in the options too. This patch has evened the playing field out against the Dreamcast version IMO, arguably giving the PS2 version the edge in some respects (plus getting a good version of Rayman 2 running on modern hardware with visual enhancements has been less than ideal).
I will try to find some free time to get a more complete playthrough of the game, i'll use this patch to test it along the way and report if I find any problems. Thanks again for this!
