A random broke guy looking for advice
#1
Hey,

I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me. I'm currently using PCSX2 1.4.0 and the game i'd really love to run is Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi 3 on this sloppy PC:

OS : Windows 8.1
RAM : 4,00 Go ( 3,89Go for use )
CPU : Intel® Celeron® CPU 877 @1.4GHz
Graphic Card: Intel® HD Graphics

I use the 2006 USA Bios, the framelimiter is on and i don't use any patch :

Actually if not the fights, everything runs perfectly, but the opening movie is kind of sloppy while i can't play any fights at all. As soon as the battle starts, i lose like 50 fps and drops to 15-22fps , it's way too slow to be enjoyable.

If you have any tips, i'd be glad to hear those, thanks.

Have a good day.  [Image: smile.gif]

quite simple : get a decent PC or play this game on your real PS2 console.
that one won't cut it.
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go

Got it. I was already thinking of getting myself a new PC by September, I guess that seals the deal. I've found a nice intel core i3 lately, do you think with a decent graphic card it'll be enough to run most of pcsx2 games ?

( And thanks for the replies Smile )

get a mid range GPU + a CPU that scores at least 1800 in this list (the higher the better)
and you should be good to go

The one I had in mine is an intel core i3-4170T @ 3,2Ghz with 4Go RAM ; it hits 1817 on the list, will it be fine ?

I don't know the GPU though, but i can still change it after, do you have any useful links to help me chose a fine one ? Don't need something too expensive but being too cheap and lame isn't an option either
