AMD's FX
#1
Hey all, I've recently seen AMD's FX brand, which has yet to be released, but it's going to be an 8 core processor. I saw in another thread with MyDreamName mentioning that PS2 also run 8 cores, and I'm just wondering if the fact that both are 8 cores might factor in someday? A transition to 8 cores is gonna be slow, so I don't see it happening anytime soon, but more or less, I'm just looking for any thoughts on the matter at all.

Philophonic:
In short: More cores do not help, only faster per core speed do.

In long: study programming yourself and try to rewrite a simple single threaded application to a multi-threaded one.
