That unfortunately was the default setting that i have been using (MicroVU1 and 2) and it still freezes up.

oh right so you'd already changed them... ok what about playing with the vu/ee clamping? possibly even messing with round modes.

ive tried the game per your recommended settings and played around with the VU/EE clamping and the emulator actually crashed (now its telling me something's wrong)

I'm currently playing the game, and I also found this problem. Both with disc and without disc. Turns out it's not only in the mission Sleather2 stated... but every mission when we choose a different set of characters.

Assuming you'll know about the game, it's 1 squadron in 3 flights, in certain missions you have the option to choose any of the 3 flights. We can only choose the main one, because the game will freeze on the others (some missions are done only by the others).
