Am I doing something wrong?(Tales Of Abyss)
#1
I've been lurking in a few threads and I know that some people can get Tales of Abyss to run at 6xNative but I can't even get it to run at 60 fps on 3x native and I also have some offset figure glow effects on characters and the start screen. I know I don't have the best specs, but I'm thinking I can run at least 3xNative and I'm just doing some configuring wrong. I'll attach shots of my settings to this post. My specs are as follows:
  • Video Card : AMD Radeon™ HD 6670
  • Physical Memory : 8G (2*4)
  • Processor : AMD Phenom II X4 965e @3400MHz
  • Operating System : Windows 7x64
  • DirectX11
I'm using GSDx 5334 (MSVC 16.00, SSE2) 0.1.16
D3D11(HW)
Inerlacing: Auto
Scaling: 2xNative is as high as I can go with 60FPS
Hardware Mode Settings: Texture Filtering, 8-bit Textures, Logarithmic Z, Alpha Correction (FBA)

All on PCSX2 1.0.0, I tried a newer release but I couldn't play ToAUNDUB or DBZ BT3 whatsoever so I reverted to 1.0.0. Any an all help is appreciated Smile.

As a side question, how much could I benefit from overclocking certain parts of my system? It's a self-built gaming rig so heat isn't really an issue.

Use this GSdx: http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Tales-of-...#pid265700
Set GSdx to DX9 hardware mode, disable 8-bit textures, Enable Half pixel offset in GSdx hacks

That should be all

Hm from what I see that 6670 is not very fast...check out if it is on 3D mode using a tool like GPU-Z or if it is still at 2D clocks, all this while running the game on PCSX2

I'm using GPU-Z, the GPU Clock is at 800MHz which I believe is max, I'm not quite sure how to check the mode though.
Edit: Max without overclock that is.

Well then apart from checking you got the latest drivers for it, I guess it's just not powerful enough for higher resolutions
