Another DBZ BT 3 FPS related issue
#1
Hello, first of all I'll start with my specs:
Windows 7
CPU: Intel® Core™ i7 2630QM @ 2.00GHz 2.00 Ghz
GPU: GEFORCE GT 540m
RAM: 6GB

According to what I've read this should be enough to get a decent FPS. However, I've had a moment during gameplay where the FPS was stable around 60 FPS (so very smooth) but unfortunately this didn't last and it dropped to 25 FPS. I didn't change anything to the configuration settings.. but I tried to get back to the 60 FPS but clearly I didn't manage to do it.
Also, this only happens during gameplay itself, the menu screen is stable @ 60 FPS.

I hope someone can help me out.
Thanks in advance Smile.
Edit: I used the latest svn version

Ah yes I forgot to mention it's a laptop.. none the less it's always set on high performance and the mtvu hack is also enabled.

ok.
2.00 ghz is very low for pcsx2.
Since you have a laptop, I guess overclocking isn't an option

well, I guess, you'll just have to keep playing it on your PS2 until you can afford a better PC Wink

That processor should actually do better than 25fps with that game,
even at 2.0Ghz.
Turbo Boost should be giving it at least 2.6Ghz.

So, assuming your processor isn't being throttled,
it would not be your issue.

... Does your laptop happen to have nVidia's Optimus technology...?

This can be closed. As Rezard mentioned, the turbo boost gives a steady 2.6 Ghz. The game itself now runs around 60 fps. My guess is that the problem was caused by nVidea settings (It didn't use the ''powerful nVidea processor", but I can be wrong ofcourse Wink ). So the game runs smoothly now.
Thanks everyone for replying Smile.
