It's not like it's a particularly very slow scene or anything.
However, I would like some hard numbers, community willing.

When you are able to, can you try disabling the frame rate limiter for that scene?
I've been thinking about opting for a x4 965 BE CPU (my motherboard is compatible with it, I looked it up @ gigabyte's website ^_^) instead of going the intel route. I don't need 4 cores, let alone 6, (only 2 would do) but through my research (googling) I've found that the x4 965 BE has the best chance of hitting 4 GHz stable (because it's not a failed part, like some of the x2's and x3's) and at the very least, it comes at a stock speed of only 100 MHZ slower than my oc'ed x2 240, and I've yet to read about anyone getting a lower OC than 3.8 GHz on the x4 965 BE (witch would be 300 mhz higher than what I have).
Epic run-on sentence! Sorry bout' that !
I've also read that your 6-core beast hits 4 GHz easily too.
Is GGdx Software Mode limited to only 2 cores?
If not, what's the point of diminishing returns?
Doing so would save me like $200, and I wouldn't have to install fresh copies of XP and Win 7 (Dual Boot) AND I wouldn't have to spend that extra time on the phone with some microsoft guy (reactivation).
