RE: Anti Virus Programs
Using avast after AVG went over bloatware land. I'm pretty happy with it, almost no false positives (which is a big plus for me) and nice auto updating without bothering me. Recommended.

Anyway, I'll probably give both avira and avast a try and see which one I like. Cause comodo isn't picking up jack. I'll probably keep the firewall though just to be on the safe side.

EDIT: Actually, which is lighter, avast or avira?

Avira is definitely lighter than AVAST. (10Mb RAM for avira, 50Mb for avast)

I tried both, and to me, both are worth trying.
Avast is heavier, but auto-updates very easily.
Avira is lighter, but nag screens pop-up about once a day.

The choice is up to you.

Avira's daily "notifier" almost forgot of that one, there's a way so it doesnt come back tho easily google...able. Avira may also show some more false positives than avast now that I think about it.

Avira is lighter than avast but it's free edition isn't a full security pack like avast home edition. Also avira's notifier is also a prolbem when you play a game in fullscreen(happens to me all the time and i always end up with a game-over screen after that).I recommend avast because it finds more viruses and also shows almost no false positives.

Domo arigatou gozaimasu!

I appreciate everyone's input. Since this is meant for my other weak and pathetic Pentium 3, I'll use (EDIT) Avira.

EDIT: Also I found a website that can test you AV. Comodo didn't pick up crap. (EDIT) Avira detected most well, but that double zipped folder is an issue.

I'm not sure how effective of a test it is but as long as it works.

10 years ago O.o

So much for the test huh.... but what does that make comodo for not picking it up? I even put everything on high.

RE: Anti Virus Programs
Yes, 10 years ago. On the website it states quite clearly that... "Last updated 29 May 1999" which would be over 10 years ago ^_^

As for comodo not picking it up... Well, chances are a "virus" that old wouldn't be able to effect most computers. XP, vista, and windows 7 are quite advanced compared to the OS'es at the time it was made... lots of security improvements and very different running environments. It may simply be "incompatible" and thus unimportant to comodo...

Or comodo is just terrible. Not sure, never ran it myself.
