How good is this video card for Pg? Can I use high resolution on Pg? I cannot afford another Video card besides Geforce 9400GT 1GB The cost almost the same. So is it good?

Can you use high resolution at all with PCSX2? I mean interanal resolution is like 600x600 and when you scale that to 1680x1050 and upper well you know... ;P

Well it will be enough to run game in full screen but you need non-released-super-cpu-under-ln2-overclocking to 7 GHz to get more than 1024x1024 internal frames with above 30 fps Wink

Hopefully you understood me but 3650 is still good card for PCSX2.

The usual recommendation for any Pcsx2 user is to not purchase an ATI card. I'll explain in a second. But first:

I use an ATI 1650gt and it actually performs quite well for a large number of games. I set my internal resolution to 1280x864 and it doesn't impact my framerate much at all (I found the 864 to be ideal for minimizing the interlacing effect of a couple of my favorite games). I've been told that the internal res doesn't make a difference unless the game you're trying to emulate uses certain special effects and stuff.

There is, however, a known problem with Gsdx and ATI video cards. It can cause serious slowdown in DX10, and even worse slowdown in DX9, for a number of games that do a lot of "texture swizzles" (dynamically uploading textures into the video card's ram). For example, Xenosaga2, a game that should run about 50+ fps on my machine if I had an 8600gt, only runs 8fps on my ATI card, even though the 1650gt is roughly equivalent to the 8600gt in all standard gaming benchmarks. This is why, at this time, the Playground team recommends users buy Nvida cards instead. It'll just be a lot less frustrating.

I'm using the same card you have but with 1024Mb, and the only frustration i have is not being able to play metal gear 3 at a stable speed. I don't have any framerate issues with the other games i've tried including xenosaga 2.

If you want to compare grapich card then must be equal like 8600gt DDR3 from nvidia with HD.3650/3670 from ATI, since both card support at least directx.10 and ps.4 and have more fitures. There is not valid compare 8600gt to x.1650 since x1650 only suppor directx.9.0c and ps.2b and unmature in other features. q
