Attempting to play several games from Disc
#1
I DLed PCSX2 1.0.0 last night, and got it setup best I could following the configuration guide... but alas there seems to be a problem. I've tried booting up FFX and Star Ocean 3 (I made sure I had the manual fix on thats on the list) and I can full boot it up to the regular PS2 startup menu, but not reading the disc. When doing a fast boot, it stays at a black screen. I don't know much in what the console is saying, but some show up in red as its attempting to start up the game. Heres a copy/paste of it.

Thats weird, Ill need to dig up my PS2 collection and try a few more, but why would multiple games be corrupt? I tested FFX on my actual PS2 before I tried PCSX2 and it started up with no issues also.

make sure you make an ISO file out of those DVDs using the Program Imgburn

Okay just an update, it will run as an .ISO file on my computer, but then that makes that error weird as a CD in my drive. Maybe I should forward it as a bug?

for now you haven't specified is this happening with all games or a specific one ?

I have tested: FFX, Star Ocean 3, Disgaea 1, and Guilty Gear XX Accent Core, and all 4 did the same thing. This disc in the drive will not work, but the .ISO I make with ImgBurn will. All 4 games showed the same error coding above when I attempted to run it as a disc. I did forget to put computer specs, but I dont think its causing it. My specs are

Host Machine Init:
Operating System = Microsoft Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit
Physical RAM = 32743 MB
CPU name = Intel® Core™ i7-3930K CPU @ 3.20GHz

What CDVD plugin are you using...Gigahertz or something else.
If it's Gigahertz just for a test mount one of those games(if you actually have program to mount images),configure the plugin to read from the drive where the game is mounted and try the game.

Are you running the .iso file INSIDE the dvd disc? Because if so you're doing it wrong...

yeap Don't use "Virtual DVD player" PCSX2 support reading the ISO ( image ) file directly Smile
