Atv Offroad fury 2 bad graphics
#1
Hello I was wondering if there was a way to fix the bad graphics glitch in ATV off road fury 2 without switching to software renderer?
I was doing research, and apparently this game ran on direct x 9 like alot of games in the early 2000s era , but I don't think its supported anymore.
Is there anyway to get direct x 9 on the nightly or regular PCSX2 builds? If no, maybe someones knows how to fix ATV off road fury 2 without switching to software mode?

Known issue. https://github.com/PCSX2/pcsx2/issues/7611

You could maybe work around it with native resolution in hardware mode... but you also may be better off playing it on original console.

Good luck.

software mode will work fine, native res *might* work, but the water might be broken.

I could 'fix it' partially by ensuring Software renderer was selected *before* the race starts, and switching to HW renderer afterwards, but yes this often breaks the water rendering in maps.

Thank you so much. the game was unplayable in software mode for me, fps dipped alot. So, I switched to direct 3d11, 130  overclock, with ee cylcling set to mild. It runs alot better. Thank you so much. Too bad it not playable any where above native, but its an old game and appreciate I playing a classic. If there is no water on the level, you can run the game in 1080p and above. Thank you for the help.
