Kingdom Hearts 2 - States no memory card is found during the initial load, but is able to load the list of Saves in the regular menu afterwards.
Tales of the Abyss - Works fine. System data loaded instantly, and was able to load and save data with no issues.
Grandia 2: Works fine. Loads and saves correct.
Ys: The Ark of Napishtim - System data loads, able to load in-game data correctly.

Star Ocean 3 - There's some specific testing I wanna do with this one, but I won't have time until later tonight when I get back home from training.

Will test various other games as well.
AMD Ryzen 5 3600 @ 3.60~4.20 GHz | Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2x16GB) DDR4-3200
MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Super @ 6 GB | Samsung 980 1TB | Windows 10 Pro x64 (22H2)

It might be the same problem I get when converting the memory card attached here. I've tracked down what causes it, I'll fix it and upload a new version in a bit.

AdmiralCurtiss I thought this will be a problem but I guess I didn't try such game on my first try of this feature.
The problem is that for some reason on some games, the feature tries to get the PSU style name(like when you use uLaunchELF on the PS2(ule replaces unknown characters with ___ )and this cases pcsx2 to crash because some saves contains unknown characters which are then replaced by ??? which is not allowed in window...mymc while exporting the whole card have the same problem.
The problematic games in KeyToTruth12 case are KH2 and KH2FM and the SYSTEM data

KH2 contains a star character at the end of the file name(directory name)and some other characters
SYSTEM since in's JP bios, the Japanese characters are replaced with ???

If I remove those from the card, then I can convert it
I can extract them one by one with mymc and ps2 save builder

Edit:Hmm or maybe the saves are just damaged.
KeyToTruth12 can you try loading your KH2FM saves because pcsx2 says that there is no memory card inserted when I try the game with your card

The file name displayed in the memory card browser and the actual internal file name are distinct and unrelated. KH2FM's system data's internal name is "BISLPM-66675FM-SYS", for example, and causes no conversion issues.

The bug was that I didn't consider that there could be leftover unused data in file entry clusters of memory cards that have been in use for a while. I've fixed it in this commit by actually respecting the length field of directories while looking for file system entries.
