Battlefront II Black Sky?
#1
Hey guys! I was searching through the forums and didn't find anything that addressed this problem so here it goes! This is my first time using pcsx2 (ps2 slim power cord broke).

When I play SW Battlefront II if it's in

hardware mode: black sky and all around too dark

software mode: blurry and running at 20fps

I would like to stay in Hardware mode and get rid of the black sky/overall darkness

GPU: Radeon HD 6850
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1100T

any help appreciated Laugh

In order to help you further with your problem, please make sure the following are all provided.
  • Your hardware specs - CPU, Graphics Card, Memory, Operating System.
  • The version of PCSX2 you are using.
  • Any non default settings you are using.
  • What games you are trying to play and if you are playing them from ISO or DVD.

Thank You.

OK:

- CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1100T
- GPU: Radeon HD 6850 Toxic
- Memory: 8 GB DDR3 RAM (4 Corsair, 4 Rigsaw)

- PCSX2 Version: PCSX2 1.0.0

Settings:
- I fiddled around with the Core GS settings and tried putting them back to default
- Video Plugin GS settings I messed with a lot. Tried all the DirectX options and had the same difference with the software and hardware mode. I would post a picture but don't know how.

As far as other game I played Kingdom Hearts and FFX on DVD and they worked fine, it's just this game specifically is strange. Any help is appreciated, and it's definitely playable so if there's no fix that's fine, I just like solving this kind of stuff the I can fix similar issues in the future Laugh

Maybe you should give a try to latest svn.
But i think this can only be solved in sw mode.

Has anyone had any success in getting this issue solved? I'm experiencing the same issue. SW mode is way too slow. Is there a way that can be addressed if this can't be solved using HW mode?
