Because Pcsx2 uses only two cores?
It would not be possible to use 4 or more core?
I have wasteful 4, 6 or 8 cores are used and only 2.

It can use 3 cores with MTVU speedhack.

Software mode can use 4 cores.

3 cores with mtvu hack.
You can use more when using software mode and adding extra sw rendering threads. Buty from what i remember, using more cores in hw mode wouldnt make a big difference.

You can only fragment the roles of the cores so much before they become very inefficient due to synchronization needed.

So yep, 2 cores regular mode, 3 with MTVU, more with SW mode and extra GS rendering threads.
