Ok cool I found it. I switched the bottom ones that said "alpha hacks" since there wasn't one that said allow hacks?

Go to your GSdx.ini, change "allowHacks" to 1, save.
Then you can configure some additional things in GSdx's configuration dialog.
Set "skipdraw" to 1 there and it'll fix the shadows.

You need to add the line allowHacks = 1 if it's not there.

Hi I recently got a powerful pc with 2 nvidia 480 and a i7 extreame clocked at 4ghz and Im trying to run DQ8 atm and the frames seem to fine but I get some graphic issues like the flame monsters in the waterfall cave near the start have boxes around them. Im using PCSX2 0.9.7 beta btw if that helps and thanks in advanced
