I've messed around a little with them, but I was wondering if there was any definitive settings for making the .hack//G.U. games run smoothly? I'm using PCSX2 1.0.0 and here are my PC specs, if it helps:
CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 640 Propus 3.0GHz
Chipset: ASUS M4A87TD EVO
GPU: MSI R5850 Twin Frozr II Radeon HD 5850 (Cypress Pro) 1GB
RAM: CORSAIR XMS 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3
I had to get a new computer to run GU with no slow down because my processor was only a 2.4 with Turbo 2.
First make sure you're using the best video plugin you can use. This should be the SSE41.
GU is pretty processor heavy, but you have a 3.0 so you shouldn't do bad running it. Make sure the MTVU speedhack is on and put EE and VU to one or two depending on how much speed up or slow down it gives.
My processor is a 3.7 so I don't get any slowdown.
Worse comes to worse try running it in standard resolution, and if that doesn't work try turning on eight bit graphics, doing that gave me some speed up on my old 2.4, enough to be playable.
