Bext Configuration on My pc?
#1
Hi it seems on all games i have bit slowdown on all games...usually 20 fps drop.

My specs are:
Intel Celereon G530 2x2.4Ghz (i know CPU sucks here)
4Gb Ram
ATI Radeon HD 7700
Windows 7 x64
Service Pack 1

I have 50% drop on fps when i play Grand Turismo 3 ...other games drop around 15-25%.

i dunno why did you do this having a poor gaming PC but nice video card.
GT3 i know to be CPU hungry i think there is no hope on reaching higher than 20fps.

did you already set VU-cycle stealing at LV-2 and Clamp mode at "none"
also monitor the CPU temperatures using CoreTemp...overheating CPU is a signatured slowdowned performance.

well AFAIK GT3 is highly GPU demanding my 5670 couldn't handle it at all in fact SW mode gave me 10-20% increase !!!!

care to note the GS and EE readings on the top of PCSX2 screen while slowdowns ?

I did that and i got 5-7 Extra Fps...35-37 out of 60gfs

I forgot to mentioned that i do not see Direct 3D 10 i See 9 and 11.
I picked 11 hardware.
Native Resolution..thou i can play with 1680-1050 without Fps drop.

I have same FPS as native and same as picked Resolution,

i could track down the post i saw recently, but each of the roms is just for a specific function not required by all ps2's

one of em is drivers for the asian ps2 DVD drive

i cant remember the rest, but basically theyre extra files stuck on the end of the BIOS that arent needed for PCSX2

let me refresh your memory Wink

auMatt Wrote:Basically the first jap ps2 had a single bios and the dvd player etc were installed on the memcard.
The Ps2's after that first model had the Dvd Player software installed in a separate ROM (EROM) which is encrypted.
The ROM1 is an additional part of the BIOS that contains some extra stuff like ID's for DVD Player version etc.
ROM2 is the same really but I think only available in Chinese PS2's.
Hope this helps.

^^ Thats was the post i was looking for!!

thankyou very muchly sir!

-- also i remember old some old intel cores got new drivers quite a while back, it wont help much but it may take load off some other systems freeing up more CPU for PCSX2
