Black screen problem when load the game
#1
Hello, I'm new here and I never use PS2 emulator before

I'm using hackintosh running Snow Leopard with latest version of PCSX2 & plugin installed. And I'm using Geforce 9400GT.I use my own bios file and the Run Bios (no disc) command turns to be fine.

The problem is that when i start to load game from my ISO (Naruto Shippuden 5) it appears to be black screen. Haven't try another game yet.

So if you see video with the run bios (no disc), but see just a black screen with the game (I'm assuming you can hear sound?), try updating your graphics plugin to zzogl pg 0.1.0 here: http://pcsx2mac.net/files/ZZOglPG.0.1.0.dmg

Then, double click the icon in the dmg with PCSX2 open, and when the "open with" box comes up, open with pcsx2. The plugin should then show up in the configuration panel, so choose it and make sure "no logarithmic z" is checked in the graphics config. That should solve the naruto problem.

All of your code looks fine to me by the way, but you might want to uncheck the recording option in the sound config. This "ZeroSPU2: Recording" saves a recording of the sound in your game every time you play if it's not unchecked (unless you were meaning to).

I just follow your instruction above, but the black screen still persists. I try both zzogl pg 0.1.0 with no logarithmic z checked and the default plugin but both doesn't work. I can hear sound well and i can interact with the game pressing controller. Just black screen.

Do you have any advice?
Thank you.

Hackintosh?

Its impossible to support an already unsupported system configuration in most cases, and the OSX build is already far behind its Windows and Linux counterparts in terms of capability.

Now that I remember, I think the naruto series specifically does have this problem with PCSX2 0.9.6.

Look for a 0.9.7 release in the (hopefully) near future, although this release has been delayed by like 6 months since the only guy working on it has been busy. This might have better compatibility with the series.

If you CAN see video when you run your bios, but CAN'T see video during gameplay, this is most likely the problem.
