same problem with me here.

I noticed that if you use another Sound plugin like spu2null or SPU2-X the progres bar runs until some about 75% and hang.
With others Burnout game series like Dominator and Revenge with one of this two plugins the progress bar goes to 100% and hang.

Problems fixed with the latest snv
Msi GF-62VR
Intel  core i7 7700hq @2.8(3.5ghz turbo) Nvidia 6gig GTX1060 16 gigs DDr5   windows 10

This was fixed long ago and needs SPU2-X 1.4 as far as I know, works with default settings in the latest beta (r3878).
