It's a videocard driver-plugin trouble. You need support for pixel shader 2.0, and you videocard is Intel GMA 3100, that has poor support of it. Intel drivers in linux are very good for 2d, but in 3d it's almost nothing compare with the similar drivers on Win32. It's possible to rewrite ZeroGS for Mesa Open Gl, but nobody here have time and will for it.

p.S. And ATI and Nvidia users must use proprietary drivers, although open source ones have 3d support. But it does not work as ZeroFrog expected.

but Nvidia's are SOLID, unlike intel's.

and offtopic: where can I get an ATI driver? (have a friend with xubuntu jaunty and no driver for his ati card)

On AMD/ATI cite. There is instruction to compile it manually from sources and binary (closed) part.
