Build-in recording problem
#1
Hi everyone,

Not sure if I have to post here or in  Hardware/software discussion,

My problem isn't that the record function don't work, but that PCSX2 let me only record uncompressed frame.

I've tried with several releases, both Stable and Dev builds.

Yet with Dolphin or Bizhawk, other codecs are recognized.

My PCSX2 configuration: (I've tried with SSE2-3-4 and AVX)

In PCSX2 :  [Image: 1442563485-bandicam-2015-09-18-10-02-48-305.jpg]  In Dolphin 5.0 rc-27:  [Image: 1442562541-screenshot2340.png]
In Bizhawk 1.11.1

Thank you in advance for any response!

Does pcsx2 support codecs? I think it was never implemented and therefore doesn't work. I guess if you implement one codec you can implement all but as this was never done you see none available.

I think you have to postprocess videos. You also need to mux audio and video. It's not that user-friendly..

Yes, like in Dolphin, audio and video are separate and you must mux them with an external program, but PCSX2 can handle other format than uncompressed.

That's...very weird. Even if you don't have any custom codec installed, it should at least list the default windows ones...first time I see this happening with PCSX2 0_o

vsub: Yes, I already tried running PCSX2 in administrator mode, it changes nothing.

Blyss Sarania: I'm on Window 7 Home Edition pemium. All drivers and plugins are up to date.

As I mentioned in my original post, the problem is only with PCSX2, with Dolphin and Bizhawk or other emulators, no problem.
