im looking to buy it, but im unsure if it is sufficient for emulating games smoothly @ 1080p. i don't want to buy something that i will regret later. i need your opinions guys so that to see whether i will buy it or not. thanks.
A non "K" processor can only be OC'd by 4 turbo bins (on the right board).
See if you can get the 2600K, since they really prove the best currently out there when OC'd to 4.0Ghz+.
Nice setup, though.
Why 2 different types of RAM?
And are you sure you really need 16GB...?
You'd be better of getting less RAM, but faster (for performance sake).
You're better off with an i5 2500K + GTX 560 combo

I'm running the following System in my signature and GT4 works perfectly in 1080p and FXAA with all opponents on screen!
even when I turn off framelimit there is still a huge gap of 70-100fps
So no worries, there are A LOT of demanding games running in fullspeed now
But when you buy the System, I suggest you a Z67 motherboard!
The Memory controller of the p67 chipset kinda sucks .. -.-
