Also, about the BIOS selecting, try to move the BIOS to /Applications/PCSX2.app/Content/Resources/BIOS (Not sure if correct path, but that should be right, and to access the folder inside the PCSX2.app right click the app and select "show package contents") If wrong path, do tell me and I will check the correct one for sure.

Yeah that path works for the BIOS so thanks. I did the select iso option and ran it but still doesn't run. I've tried cleaning the disc and making another iso but still get the segmentation error. Is there another way to get a better iso from the disc or is it buggered?

Let me ask, what do you use to make the ISO? Wich format do you select it to make it in?

I use terminal and automator. With automator I click on Run Shell Script and in the box I type:

diskutil unmount disk2
dd if=/dev/disk1 of=image.iso
diskutil mount disk2

I found this on the internet (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=220740), it creates a file called image.iso which is the same size as the disc so I assume it copied and converted it.

...Is there a better way to creates iso's?

Thanks again for listening

You usually dont notice the format from the size of the files, since it should be compitable with both windows and Mac I suspect FAT32 or ISO9660, wich is NOT the right format for PS ISO's, you need to make a byte-by-byte copy, copying EVERYTHING, even the things you didnt even know were there. Here you go:

WAAAAH!, very sorry, here is the right procedure:
1. Insert the DVD, and in the terminal do:
2. diskutil unmountDisk disk1
3. ls -l /Users/
Find your username in that list and:
4. dd if=/dev/disk1 of=/Users/your-username/Desktop/Shadow_of_the_colossus.iso

Sorry I get the feeling you've gotten this a lot Unsure

I did what you said and got an iso, I then selected in the CDVD option in config and then clicked Run CD/DVD in file. This didn't work so in File I clicked "Run Iso..." and selected it and it didn't work. I get this code:

Something happens where a new window appears but it quickly goes away. Does this mean the CD is no good, they are old but I never had any problems playing them before. If it helps I ran if off a MacBook Pro using Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4 (11E53).

Is there anything that can be done?

have you tested pcsx2 with another game just to be sure, and can you test the disk in a ps2?

I installed CG toolkit; that's what appears when I search for CG Framworks, and XQuartz but not PortAudio.

...I just downloaded PA and got a load of files, not sure what to do with them.

Is this version of PCSX2 not very compatible with Lion, would it help to update to mountain lion or just wait until a more compatible version is released?

And to soratidus999, I haven't tried other games as I can't find any of my old ones and I have yet to find my old ps2 but will keep looking.

In the PortAudio package, open a file called install-sh OR install.sh (might be either)

And bout the NVIDIA CG Frameworks, I have some bad new about it, the site got hacked 2-3 months ago and they STILL have not been able to get it up and running (http://developer.nvidia.com/object/cg_download.html) and about the CG Toolkit, It says it is only for Tiger, Leopard and Snow Leopard, but TRY to install portaudio first then run the emulator. If it doesnt work, then try to PM Zedr0n about it, he might have an answer..

And about Mountain Lion... It is known to cause EVEN MORE problems ^_^"

I can't download portaudio, it says:

no input file specified.
logout

I think I might leave it for now and just wait for an update. My mate has star ocean 2 and the pcsx playstation emulator works fine for me so I'll just use that for now.

Thanks for all your help and sorry for wasting your time a bit.
