Cannot for the life of me get god of war 1 OR 2 working..

It feels like i've tried every possible combination of plugins and settings and i still cant get it to work! I tried the green texture fix, i tried using 1076m but that wouldn't even start.

I'm using a GTX 470
i5 760 overclocked to 3.8ghz (4 core)
windows 7
4gb of ram

I can't believe i can't work this out! stressed me out alll today!

Well God of war 2 works (although it's only 25 fps) until actual combat begins at which point you can't see anything except a green outline of kratos. You can attack etc and get flashing images up but it is totally unplayable. I also assumed with this comp set up i would get a damn nice fps but something must be wrong.

God of war 1 has a similar problem except it's worse from the very beginning, with all the textures really screwed. God of war 2 worked for all the title sequence (although the sound was a bit messed up).

I don't really know what else to say!
