Changing discs on Asus ROG Ally, and gracefully exiting

Hey y'all! Coming from Android Emulation, and I just got the Asus Rog Ally, which is a windows hand held.  No keyboard, and built in controller. 

I have PCSX2 up and running - by the way, it runs fabulously at a pretty low TDP - but I need to find a way to go back to the PCSX2 Menu when I'm in a game.  From there I could change games, or exit back to the desktop.  

I can do this forcefully but hitting "show desktop" through the Asus buttons, and then long pressing the PCSX2 icon, but I'd love a more direct route.

Any ideas/help would be appreciated.  And to any devs who are reading this, THANK YOU.  Happy to donate to the project.

you could use big picture mode if you're on the nightly build (add -bigpicture to the shortcut) and set a key combination to bring up the "pause menu" in the controllers->hotkeys settings

then you can bring up the pause menu at any time to change disc, exit, etc.
