Changing savestate version?

I know now and again the savestate version is changed, I only have like 2 games I played in past that I used save states for but they are RPGs and without using an old version and saving in game my savestates are useless.

Is there another way?

The only solution is to:
- Use an older of PCSX2 which has the same save state version.
- Load the state
- Save to memory card using in-game menus.
- Exit this "old" PCSX2 version.
- Run your "main" (new) version of PCSX2.
- Load from the memory card using in-game menus.
- If you wish, save state again using the new PCSX2 version.
