Chaos Theory, TLB Miss, addr=0x74
#1
Hi, I have copied my Splinter Cell Chaos Theory [ps2] disc to an .iso image. The game loads in pcsx2 0.9.8 until the game screen, where it has a press X or START to continue (I never got the point in these). When I do, I get the error message

Code:
(EE pc:002D10C4) TLB Miss, addr=0x74 [load]
(EE pc:002D10B4) TLB Miss, addr=0x78 [load]

Then the game freezes on it's current frame. If I leave it there or press anything other than X or START, the game will continue to work.

I'm not very familiar with pcsx2, so any help is appreciated. I receive the same error on pcsx2 0.9.6.

Thanks

first try to download one of the latest svn which u can get here: http://pcsx2.net/svn.php since they won't give support for anything older then 0.9.8 Smile

That is also to no avail, thank you anyway.

However, I went and tried it in the PlayStation and it wouldn't load at all. There is a large scratch, so I assume it's a problem with the disc/iso. It was one of my favourite games too. Nothing else I can do though.

Thanks

Try remaking an ISO of the disc really slowly (using ImgBurn).

BTW - Last I knew, this game only ran well with Software rendering.
Is that how you run it when you get the error?

I have had it on DirectX9(Hardware) when running games, if that is what you meant, DirectX9(Software) didn't make a difference. I am trying ImgBurn now on 2.4x read speed, it should be done in 40 minutes.

UPDATE: About 66% through the burning process, it has trouble reading sectors.

To show a few of them. ImgBurn is unable to continue after 20 attempts.

Bad disc or faulty reader...try making an ISO image in another PC and if it persists, means your disc is busted

I'm getting a related crash with Splinter Cell 3:
"(EE pc:001AC360) TLB Miss, addr=0x3f9999d2 [load]".
Disabling "Automatic Gamefixes" & "Speedhacks" makes no difference.

dude, don't resurrect old threads for an unrelated game issue. make your own thread.
