Cheats Loading, but not working
#1
Hello, I'm having an issue, and it's starting to get rather irritating, I tried a few things to no avail so I've come for help :/

I'm currently trying to get a few codes for Dot Hack GU Redemption to work. It's loading them (says cheats loaded) but they don't actually do anything. One weird thing I've noticed though(not sure if it's that important) is that it'll say more cheats are loaded then I actually have. Like "loaded:7" when I only have 3 codes.

I have cheats enabled, they're in the cheats folder, they are .pnach, they're converted to RAW, are not commented(disabled) and all that jazz is in line. So I don't understand why they're not working.

I've had many other successes in getting cheats to work for many games with no issues at all, but I guess this one just isn't having it, haha.

I can upload my pnach files(have an armax one and a codebreaker one) if necessary.

Any help?

Having 3 codes descriptions doesn't always mean you are loading 3 codes.
The number of patch=1 you have(without \\ infront)is the number of cheats loaded.

It is possible:
1.The codes to not be for your version
2.They are wrong
3.They are incomplete
4.PCSX2 don't support them
5.They are not correctly converter to raw(if they are not raw)

I knew there was one generic thing I was missing, haha, but anyways, yes I checked for both sets they are NTSC (as is the game). I use Omniconvert and have it set to whatever the source of the codes are.

How would I know, or go about finding out, if they are wrong, incomplete or not supported?

Can't really say how...it comes with experience(if you are dealing with encrypted codes for a while, you'll start guessing the encryption by just looking at the original codes)
Post the original codes and the convertet and I'll tell you if they are wrong

Also Omniconvert can't deal with some ARMAX type codes

The original CB codes are raw already,no need to convert them and the ARMAX decrypted codes look correct.

Which codes are not working.

Well I tested them out (sorry for the long delay). The All Characters and All Cards ones work, but the item one did not. How did you come up with these codes by the way? Because I'm concerned if you did your own conversions and the normal ones aren't working for this, then I may not be able to add any more codes if I wanted to.

Again, much thanks for the help so far.

I didn't do anything special.
I just copied the codes you posted above and added pnach formatting by using my converter.

Post the codes that you convert to pnach and I'll tell you what you did wrong
