Code Breaker crash-playing star ocean 3
#1
Hello everyone
This is my first time ever using cheats on PCSX2 1.0.0 as I always play it without, so now , I have the two isos of Star Ocean Till The End of Time and want to use codes, so I downloaded the Codebreaker Iso and as I upload it first, choose the game and only choose three cheats, then upload the game's iso, the emulator just freeze and stops working, is it just me ? am I doing something wrong? Please help

hey Farah1987

you can only use .panch codes on the pcsx2, the codebreaker cheat device will not work on the pcsx2
#3
Star Ocean 3 has some notorious anti cheating systems, so you will have a hard time using them with it

I hope you will be patient with me, I have the .panch file , downloaded it the other day from a forum for this game, but how to use it?

also, please use the latest stable build (or) development build.
We're supposed to be working as a team, if we aren't helping and suggesting things to each other, we aren't working as a team.

hey Farah1987

you have to put the .panch file in your pcsx2 cheats folder

and then on your pcsx2 go to system and click enable cheats

As mentioned, use the .pnach file instead.

And I'll refer to a previous post of mine for working codes:

Few notes about this game:
Note 1. Turn all cheats off in PCSX2's Main Menu (System>Enable Cheats has to be unchecked) when you reach Bequerel Mines and then restart the game in PCSX2 and load via Memory Card, because there's a bug there that occurs with the Lightstone if you have cheats enabled. (I think it's either the Shop Cheat, or the Enemies can't move cheat, because you're supposed to get attacked at that point from the shadows, and if the Enemies can't move then they can't attack either. Wink) See Note 3!

Note 2. The Infinite Item cheats.... the different code listed is a bit of a more aggressive version of the other code originally there. It also prevents items being consumed when you Synthesize them, etc. On top of that, you can't drop or sell items when this code is enabled. You also have to completely restart the game via PCSX2 if you want to truly turn it off. Simply reloading a Memory Card Save alone won't clear the cheat code. So load PCSX2 with the cheat off, and THEN load a Memory Card Save to carry on.

I only recommend using that cheat for when you're Inventing stuff, so you don't have to remake tons of Items to Synthesize Equipment Attributes. (Such as 30% ATK/DEF from Boots of Prowess).

[Edit]
Note 3. I've updated the codes. Made some condensed codes for the IC Skills, and also jokered the "Enemy Movement on Map" code. The reason for this is because there are certain parts in the games where the enemies MUST move (Optional Dungeon Mosel Ruins, Gemity City Arena, and inside Bequerel Mines), by doing it this way you can freely make enemies move or not whenever you want, without having to restart the game.

View Menu means you go to the menu with all your characters on it and stuff. (Where you can view Items, Status, etc).

And yes, put it in the pnach you already have. Overwrite them if you must, because these codes have actually been tested from Start to Finish of the game.

The codes activate by themselves unless specifically stated in the code itself.

Go through them and decide which codes you want active though.

To disable a code, just put // in front of patch=1

some codes have / before patch=1, so if I want to activate said code, i delete the single / ?
so far , I tried the codes (running the game and emulator right now) and no results, am i doing something wrong? sorry for the bother
