Codebreaker Problem...
#1
Hey guys, it's been a while since I've been here and a good while since I played on my emulator.

I recently decided to play Star Ocean Till The End of Time on my PC but I noticed one big difference this time since I updated the SVN from r5359 to r5766......I can't use codebreaker! Sad

Before, I was able to use codebreaker just fine without any problems. I ripped the CD and used the ISO, just like all my games. However this time, after I swap the CD and it prompts me to start the game, when I press X it proceeds to start the game and then crashes.

This is what it gives me in the log.

Image type = DVD
Fileparts = 1
* CDVD Disk Open: DVD, Single layer or unknown:

Plugins opened successfully.

I tried reverting back but no change. The only thing that has changed recently is my motherboard and I had to do a fresh install of windows 7.

It would be better to follow this guide and convert the CB codes to pnach format, instead of messing with disc swapping:

my advise is be-careful of using cheats of SO3 it has designed w/ anti-cheat feature
misuse of the cheats can make the game crush and/or blocked-saving game and even make your save game ruined.

try searching for temporary cheats..example you temporary maxed out the character stats w/ cheat code then disabling the cheat will rollback to the original char. stats.

Well I've never...EVER...had a problem with a cheat breaking my SO3 game; whether on my Original PS2 or the emulator.

The only thing that I've heard was that using too many cheats can break your game.
