Consistent "pcsx2 has stopped working"

Ah okay fair enough I guess.

I know the common symptoms for unstable overclocks are
freezes, blue screens of deaths, crashing, ect.
Everything I use works flawlessly with my current OC except
PCSX2.

I just really don't want to revert back to stock clocks
for 1 program unless I have to (which seems to be the case)

Yeah I've been there myself, everything else working fine and pcsx2 crashing due to OC

Okay haha.

Guess it's the only choice I have.
Thanks for your help as well as everyone elses.

Will post my results after doing some CPU
tinkering.

Unfortunately reverting back to my stock CPU speeds
did nothing.

I was playing Kingdom Hearts for about 35 minutes
and I STILL got the "PCSX2 has stopped working" message.

I am really lost hereSad

Hm when the crash occurs, check what is listed as the fault module (check in the problem details if you can find some dll reported)

I actually left the emulator on with Kingdom Hearts on.
(Had Sora just standing by Tidus in the beginning)
Had to do errands so it was about 2 hours of afking while it was on.
To my surprise PCSX2 was up and still running and
Sora was still standing there!
No "PCSX2 has stopped working" message.

I don't know if that helped or not,
just thought I'd share it because I've been slightly busy.

I guess the crash occurs when I'm actually playing the game,
which is unfortunate since I'll have to do things over and over.

Will do some more testing.

The only other thing i can suggest trying is changing to a different sound processing mode on SPU2-X, use DirectSound or something. We have had people reporting that XAudio is crashing for them, we aren't sure why, but i guess we need to rule that out.

Sorry, I've been a little busy recently but I'm back
on trying to figure this out.
So I switched to the DirectSound for SPU2-X, but I still got
the "has stopped working" message again. I'm Still playing Kingdom
Hearts and this time the crash was during my battle with
Riku in the beginning of the game.

Hm now that I recall, some weird crashes could be due to the VS redistributable. Try downloading and installing this: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/...px?id=8328

During the installation, I was only givien two options.
To either repair it to it's original state or remove it.
So I just repaired it.
