Could someone please help me, please?

Hello.

I've done all the things I thought I was supposed to do - downloaded PCSX2, downloaded the CG Toolkit from the NVIDIA website, and I'm running Snow Leopard, so I don't need to download X11, right?

This is the message I'm getting - sorry, I'm just dumping the whole log, because I don't know what's relevant and what's not - I'm guessing it's the bits towards the bottom, but just in case...

Oh, and I'm trying to run FFXII - PAL (cos I live in Australia, of course). Thanks in advance for any help. Smile[/quote]

Okay, never mind, looks like I needed a BIOS. Which I now have.

But now, I'm getting to the PS2 "Browser/System Config" screen, and it's not detecting the game in the DVD drive of my MacBook...

you must use the correct plugin like gigaherz's cd/dvd plugin to use your dvd drive with pcsx2 and also specify which drive to use (if you have more than 1).....although this way is not recommended....it's better to make an iso of your disc and use linapuz iso as plugin to load it and run it with pcsx2

note that this applies for windows users....i don't know if these plugins do also exist for mac os and how to make an iso of your game

mac users must rip their ps2 games as ISO's to play them.
there is a thread on how to make a copy of the game as an iso through a few terminal commands requiring no extra software.

Thanks guys - is there any reason why one couldn't just use Disk Utility to do the same thing?

disk utility sometimes doesn't read all the parts of a ps2 disc, just the visible parts, which will make the .iso useless. The method through terminal creates a byte by byte copy of the file so you have everything possible on the disc.
