So, I've been trying to successfully get a PS2 game running pretty much all day.
I'm pretty sure I've got everything installed and configured correctly, but for some reason I can't get games to run.
I've tried both GTA: Vice City and Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. Vice city's compatibility says I should at least get to the intro, and Star Ocean I should be able to get through the game.
However when I try to run the game it won't work. I get the message:
____________________________________________________________
An unhandled or unrecoverable exception occurred, with the message:
The GS plugin failed to open or initialize.
Pcxs2 will now close. More details may be available via the emulog.txt file
_____________________________________________________________
I used to get an error that said I needed to update direct x, however I updated and now that message doesn't come up.
The cdvdrom is set to P.E.Op.S
I have windows 7 64x.
Also, I can emulate PSX games, just not PS2.
Any help would be really appreciated.
