DEV9 Plugin for 9.8
#1
Question
Hi guys.
As most of us already know, the GiGaHeRz's DEV9 Driver 0.3.0 [DEV9giga_razi] plugin does not work for pcsx2 9.8

All I typically use PCSX2 for is an online game I play. (9.7 runs it great, but I'd like to stay updated with the pcsx2 versions.) I was wondering if anyone has any kind of work-arounds or alternate dev9 plugins that could get me online :o

Thanks for any response or ideas!

Any kind of error when you try to run GiGaHeRz's DEV9 Driver 0.3.0? Does it work with older versions of PCSX2?

Try running PCSX2 as admin (Right click).

Try running PCSX2 as admin (Right click).

What happens is when it is selected in the plugin selector for DEV9, when you choose the GiGaHeRz' DEV9 Driver 0.3.0 [DEV9giga_razi] plugin and hit apply, you get a "Waiting for tasks... Applying settings..." message, and it basically freezes the program, forcing you to quit it.

I also just tried running it as admin, same thing.

And yes, it runs fine on 9.7 and 9.6, I wanted to try to see what kind of FPS I could get with the game on 9.8 is why im so determined to try and get it to work on 9.8.

Then most of you must be doing something wrong cause it's working just fine here (other than never finding anyone online and me forgetting my password that is Tongue2) and we tested it with prafull at least once with 0.9.8 too.

I remember someone else had trouble with the "Waiting for tasks... Applying settings..." message in 0.9.8 and he managed to fix it but didn't mention how he did it, I thought it was the running as admin part but guess that wasn't it...

Could you post the content of emulog.txt after you have to kill PCSX2 when the message appears?

Looks like a DEP problem (using a Core2?).

He means DEP as in the Data Execution Prevention.
You could try turning it off :
Go to System Properties (Control Panel -> System or Right Click My Computer -> Properties) -> Advanced System Settings(if you are on Windows XP ignore this step) -> Advanced Tab -> on the Performance part click Settings -> Data Execution Prevention.
