DS4 To XInput Wrapper
#31
I'm unable to get the tool to work. When I get to the step for running the server the application crashes immediately with no error message. I verified that the SCP Virtual Bus Driver is installed correctly in my Device Manager.

Running Windows 8.1 x64 w/ newest DirectX drivers & XBox 360 gamepad drivers installed. Below is what I get in my event viewer when I try to run the server.

Code:

I had the same issue. Try re-installing the DirectX Runtime http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/...aspx?id=35

Is there a way to get the server to minimize to the system tray in Windows 7?

Also for the guys having the server crash, I was having the same issue and it seems to have been associated with the controller disconnecting. I wound up re-pairing the device and after that it works. Hope that helps some people.

Another question: Is there a way to turn the controller off? Its been sitting on my desk unused for like an hour and is still on.

EDIT: A ten second hold on the PS button does the trick!

Is there a way to remap buttons? The triggers and shoulder buttons are opposite of what I am used to. This was easy to fix on DS3 with motioninjoy, but I dont know how to do it with the DS4.

I don't believe there is. Most settings like that can be changed in game though if they have controller calibration.

Seems like this guy managed to get around to cracking the DS4. Unfortunately his method involves hardware and is charging money for it...

Thats a shame, AC4 wont let me change the controller mappings. I wish there was a motioninjoy-esque solution to this, though something less botnetty. I have to choose between a super comfy ds4, or a less comfy ds3 with proper button mappings.. hmm
