DX9 orDX11?
#1
I've seen people suggesting DX10/11 (mine only shows 9 or 11) over DX9. Is DX11 faster? I'm used to wii emulation where we tend to use DX9 for speed.

And for that matter I'm also using "hardware" because I would assume software is slower, but I've seen software recommended as well... for my system which would be best?

Well, not of course lol as I said on the Dolphin Forum DX11 is in fact 20-40% slower because it's less developed. And if you play any games when you select DX11 they're going to be slower so actually it's easier to assume that DX11 is slower.

Thanks for letting me know.

ATM DX11 mode is actually DX10, since there is no DX11 specific code anywhere. Thus, yes it is pretty faster than DX9.
DX11 games run slower when you select DX11 since they use additional DX11 features like tessellation which put additional processing weight on your graphics card at the cost of speed (if you graphics card can't take it)
So you actually had your 'answer' and just asked so you can make fun of anyone who replied otherwise? That's pretty lame.

Uh, no I I asked because I really didn't know. The reason I responded to Game is because I wasn't sure if he was correct, since as I said at the Dolphin emulator site it's very clear that DX9 is preferable for speed.

I don't ask questions I know the answer to and I wasn't sarcastic or making fun of anyone, despite how you may have read my post. I genuinely was thanking him for the input...

DX10/11 mode is usually faster with GSdx in most games.
