Dark Cloud cheats

cheats aren't working, i copied them in, removed the "//" even had to dig through the internet for the games ID code for the pnach before finding it in the cheats_ws folder. ill copy the contents in, can you tell me why they wont work? it puts me at 0hp in the town and i die upon entering a dungeon
