Any workaround? For those whom finished the game on pcsx2, did you use a keyboard input or an actual ps2 controller?

Could you walk me through how to get to that point from the save file? I can't find it in a let's play anywhere -_-
Edit: I finished the sniping part, the dude and Nina got in the helicopter, FMV played ok and next area loaded ok..

Sorry to post on this old thread but I have the same problem, I can't get through the tutorial.
When there is to press down it does not recognize the command correctly.
As it was described in the first post. I have tried French-Italian and English-Spanish language versions.
I tried with the default settings with pcsx2 1.6 and the latest nightly version.
I am asking for help to understand what I can do.
