Desperate guy needs help to set up an online-connection with PCSX2
#21
This time I think I made a breakthrough. I am now getting spam messages from PCSX2. This is the log I get:

WARN : (fc!=cnt || cnt==0) but packet send request was made oO..
ERROR : !pbd->ctrl_stat&SMAP_BD_TX_READY

Over and over and over again. I got a freeze after saving AND THEN TESTING the connection with the network access disc. Same messages. But since I saved, I was able to use the net config on my game. I started the game. He tried to connect and I got the spam messages again. But I think I made a progress.

Thank you very much for your help until now Smile but do you have any idea what that means?

EDIT: I did some digging and found that I actually send something but some error accurs. I think it has something to do with the DNS Address. You sure that the primary DNS Address is "192.168.178.1" and not "192.168.178.2"? I thought it must be one higher than the Gateway.

Not sure, never seen that. What version of PCSX2 are you using?

I am using the latest git version: PCSX2 v1.3.1-1198

from here: http://pcsx2.net/download/development/git.html

The network plugin I use:
GiGaHeRz's DEV9 Driver 0.4.0 [DEV9ghzdrk]

It's provided within the git release. The one on the guide is v3.0, I think.

EDIT: I am getting the same spam messages if I use v3.0 of the plugin.

Hmm can we see your dev9 plugin config screen as well?

and yes im sure on the DNS server addresses, the primary is the same as your PC uses and the secondary is googles DNS server.

I am using the blue marked one. There is another one (switch mode), but changing into that makes no difference for the spam messages. The other two are for Hamachi, but they don't matter since my game doesn't support LAN.

I am going to sleep now, I hope to see an answer from you (guys) until tommorow. See you then and thanks again for all the help, even if I didn't resolve my issue yet.

Hmm well that looks fine. I'm not sure what the issue you are having is :/

Hmm okay,

The thing is, all of my network access discs are "NTSC (USA Release)" - if I can say that so. So it won't boot up with an EUR Bios. But my game should "boot up" with a European BIOS. The thing is, it works with both, USA BIOS and EUR BIOS - the game I mean, but the Network Access Disc not. If I create a network setting on a USA BIOS system, I can't use it on a EUR BIOS system - which means I need to boot up my European release game on a USA BIOS system. Can this be the problem?

Btw, I also have the USA release of the game. Hahaha, but it would be to easy if this actually works right? Another spam message:

EDIT: I have created a network setting on a PAL network access disc this time and tried to use it with the PAL version of the game. Same spam messages as before, so I guess it doesn't matter - the only thing why bios is so important is for the game to "boot up" and since the game I want to play "boots up" on both versions, it's fine.
