Pretty much what jes just said. Vista makes Direct3d 10 available which is more accurate, and sometimes faster. Windows XP only supports D3D9. So use Vista or later(e.g. one of: Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10)

For extra speed in hardware, make sure to use GSdx SSE 4.1. For more speed in software, use GSdx AVX.

DirectX 10 support was added with Vista.
DirectX 10 will usually give you a speed boost.
Vista or newer with DirectX 10 compatible hardware will give you a speed boost.

Note that he is not recommending Vista, just Vista or newer...

If you are speaking about renderers, im using the direct3d 11 (hardware)...And about the GS Im using
->GSdx 0 (MSVC 18.00,AVX)0.1.16[gsdx32-avx-r5875]....
Is the SSE41 better????

Oh yeah, I have win 7

I was.

Nobbs and I ran a test recently. It showed that even on very different hardware, in some cases, SSE4.1 is faster than AVX for hardware rendering, whereas AVX is always faster for software rendering. So if you are using HW mode(and you are) SSE4.1 could gain you 3-4 FPS. It's not much, but it's there.

to recap:
*no MTVU hacks
*3d11 Hardware
*SSE41
And everything will be okay?
I'll try it. Thanks for today

"everything will be okay?"

Not necessarily. But that will give you the best possible performance. And like I said, if you still have some slowdown, give the EE cycle rate hack a go. It might help, depends on the game.

AMDs are indeed weak for Single Threading purposes, but you don't necessary need to OC them though Blyss, I mean Xenosaga 1 runs at 60 fps here @ 1920*1080, Then again my CPU runs stock at 3,7 ghz. Ofcourse there are some games or parts that it can't do very well.
