Direct3d hadware or software?
#1
Hi this is my first post Smile.
I have a problem with Direct3d... Im using WinXP and the last directx 9. I have AMD PHENOM X2 550 3.1 GHZ, 4 GB RAM, ATI RADEON 4870 512 MB. Im testing (Bleach, Blade Battlers 2) and I have a question...
When i use Direct3d hardware i have 30 - 40 fps... when i use direct3d software 58-60 fps...
Why direct3d soft works better than hard ?

Sorry for my bad english.

Thx

Usually this is sign of improper hardware configuration, OR very bad game support. Try run this tests and compare you results with others: http://forums.pcsx2.net/thread-10260-pos...l#pid77191

There's a few games that work better with software than hardware maybe this is one of them.
Core i5 3570k -- Geforce GTX 670  --  Windows 7 x64

Shadow Hearts 1 with the latest GSDX is another example. Slight slowdowns with hardware mode and full fps in software mode.
