AFAIK DX11 for Vista won't be released until Windows 7 hits retail.

Man, I feel like I just bought my 8800 GTS yesterday for $500. I hate technology lol. Well, I read that DX11 will make it's debut with Windows 7, and so we can probably expect the new line of cards sometime slightly before or after that.

DirectX11 features won't be used for a while. Don't worry.
if anyone is curious, d3d 11 preview version has been available since the November 2008 DirectX SDK (don't need windows 7 to run the examples). the March 2009 DirectX SDK added a tech preview of the new Direct2D api:
