Does Crazy Taxi work?
#1
I own Crazy Taxi for Dreamcast, but am having a crap ton of difficulty getting the DC emulator working (and it looks HORRIBLE connected to the actual DC on a 720p projector with *cringe* S-Video).

I was going to say screw it and buy the game for PS2, since I can probably pick it up for $5-10, but I wanted to make sure it actually runs in the emulator first. Last post I found in relation to it was from July saying it hangs at startup, and the compatibility list doesn't offer any hope.

Anybody have any experience making Crazy Taxi work with 0.9.6 or the beta?

EDIT - or if anyone has some familiarity with Chankast or NullDC for my Dreamcast version, that'd be nice too, and save me a few bucks Tongue

I know this isn't the forum for that, but it seems to be more difficult to find consolidated info on those emulators, nor has my fumbling gotten me anywhere.

As you saw in the compatibility list it probably doesnt have much improvement, i wouldnt buy it unless you want to play it in your PS2.

nullDC works well, and IMO the Dreamcast version of Crazy Taxi is still the best.
Dolphin also boots and plays the Gamecube version, and that too also runs well, but for some strange reason it doesn't quite look as good as the DC version, both in emulator and on a regular TV, cheap port, myself.

Well, I'm not using the last version they released, I'm using nullDC_100b1_6, as my controller works fine in this version.
Apart from that, I'm using default settings with nullPVR video plugin.

I'll try it out, I'm using the old stable build 1.03 I think, I'll try the 1.06 version you have and see what happens.
