The PSX is considerably more easy to emulate. And there's a lot of people out there that know how to do it.
Some of which are hired by Sony Wink

Seems like it, I just want to point that if Sony ever figured out how to emulate PS2 on Vita, they'd be more than glad to do it, of course most likely you'd have to buy the game on PSN, but usually someone will find a "way" around it. Wink

I would like an emulator more than HD collections: you can get any game and not just select games to run. Except with the Vita CPU and GPU and the PS2 CPU and GPU, it is nearly impossible to get full speed on a game.

I have high hopes for POPS2.

On the notion of the Vita being "more powerful" than the PS3,
it's just based on what each has to do with what it has.
For example, lower resolution requires less power.

On the notion of requirements,
I don't think you could expect the need for more than two cores @ 1Ghz.
Not with the access to details that Sony has.

Maybe I'm just guessing,
but I can only imagine based off the example set by PSX emulators vs POPS.

The Vita almost surely can't run PS2 titles via emulation.
You may see some PSN conversions maybe, dunno.
If anyone even buys the console that is Tongue

1.)if there is an homebrew or the official PS2 backward capability(PS store) i'm bet on it we need to wait.
-->if SEN reveales the ps2 games for ps vita soon at the ps store.
-->i keep searching all about a ps2 emulation for ps vita mainly it's a rumor for those who love save states and hates normal saves for main reasons.
2.)pcsx2 on ps vita = impossible (-99%) pcsx2 needs roughly 3.2Ghz based on recommended thus ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore is out-of-range.
3.)i have an example an SNES emulation for PSP as i run MK2 i got slowdown on the battle plan map..

And PS1 emulators usually call for ~1Ghz,
but we know how fast the original PSP is. ;P

That's compatibility, dude...

with new techno a cortex can surely reach 2.5GHz without any ventirad. In my opinion we can go as high as 3GHz. However ARM is less powerful than Intel at the same frequency but we will see in the future.
