I think the problem is with some effect in process of emulation. It is like I have full speed in FF9 (pcsx) with 1600x900 (all maximum(looks great)) but when boss like flying snake near the end of CD1 makes "silence" and effect looks like someone drop stone in water - fps becomes 7-8. May be this is same thing in .//Hack

it's your i7 740QM
it has a low basic clock speed 1.74Ghz so don't expect that much and that game you ran is probrably a medium-high demanding. also check temperatures(CoreTemp) you may be in deep-trouble due to pcsx2 running in a i7 lappy's HT.
