Double Background in FFX
#1
Hi there,

yesterday i installed the PCSX2 v0.9.8 on my PC to play FFX.
I configured the plugins like they are shown in the sticky. When i am infight, i have the following problem:

The background is somehow doubled!
When i activate skipping, the background is ... switching.. no idea how to describe it properly ^^ (i am from germany).
it changes its position with every frame.

Hope someone can help me with that!
Greetings

You mean when you use frameskip? If so, it is a side effect, so your only choice is to disable it.

no, the effect happens without frameskip. if i activate it, the two backgrounds change positions - 1st frame, one background visible, 2nd frame, other background visible...

This is a wanted effect from the game. It just looks pretty bad due to GSdx upscaling.
As Livy suggested, try the skipdraw hack and set it to 1.

Hello im new to the forum but not so much to emulating.

anyway i have the same problem as aka89

i did the hack and i cant tell a difference this is how the GSdx.ini looks:

[Settings]
ModeWidth=1024
ModeHeight=768
ModeRefreshRate=60
Renderer=1
Interlace=3
AspectRatio=0
upscale_multiplier=1
windowed=0
filter=0
paltex=0
vsync=0
logz=1
fba=1
aa1=0
nativeres=1
resx=1024
resy=768
swthreads=1
msaa=0
AllowHacks=1
UserHacks_AlphaHack=1
UserHacks_HalfPixelOffset=1
UserHacks_SkipDraw=1

is there something wrong with it? or am i not in the right area?

Download the latest SVN version, it lets you configure everything in the GUI.
